Saigon Suzy was quite a delight. The place is unassuming from the pavement outside, like most of the restaurants on this corner but as you walk in you are greeted by lovely Asian decor with at least 100 upside down paper umbrellas on the ceiling and beautiful murals of Asian ladies. I sat downstairs for a bit and took in the scenery when I noticed a wall-painted sign saying “Cherry Blossom Garden” with an arrow, so I decided to explore. Upstairs was an amazing outdoor courtyard with a stunning tree in the middle and a small indoor area with a bar, this is where we sat. There we also lots of plants creating a lovely concrete city garden feel.
I had a “China Girl” and Lee had a “Cherry Blossom” cocktail. Both were refreshing, yummy and wonderfully different. We also had a starter at Saigon Suzy, we tried “KFC Korean Fried Chicken Bao” (Steamed bun burger sliders). It was a first and definitely not a last, it was super tasty.
I would definitely recommend this place, I would give it a 8/10. Decor, drinks and food were all great. We also had great service from Lawrence. I am definitely going back to try more of their cocktails and food.
